Discipleship: Learning to Follow Jesus and Leading Others to Follow Him

Gene & Lauren will lead you through a discipleship program where they will cover foundational biblical topics from a systematic theology and practical ministry perspective. Systematic theology is an attempt to coherently organize one’s understanding of the scriptures into a clear narrative that answers the question, “What does the Bible teach.” During this internship, you will learn about divine revelation within the narratives of the Old and New covenants found in the biblical text so that you understand the theology behind charismatic perspectives. Gene & Lauren will also weave in practical application in each session so you can learn to operate with Holy Spirit and theologically explain to others what God is doing. Having good theology without power is incomplete, but operating with power without being able to theologically explain the ways of God is also incomplete. This will be an attempt to cover both theology and practical application as well as answer many questions believers have on these topics.

Meetings will be on Zoom one Sunday each month at 2PM EST to accommodate students in the United States as well as overseas.

Gene & Lauren will use their new book, Learning to Follow Jesus: A Guide for all Believers, as a study guide.
